WHAT IS A"SCAR COVER-UP"?

When considering the process of covering scar tissue, there are several important factors to keep in mind. Typically, scar tissue should have undergone at least two years of healing before any covering procedure is considered. This duration allows the scar to mature and stabilize, ensuring the best possible outcome for the cover-up. However, this healing period can vary depending on the individual, as no two scars are the same. Each person's scar tissue responds differently based on factors such as skin type, the location and size of the scar, and overall health. Due to the unique nature of every scar, I always require an in-person consultation to assess the scar and discuss your options. If you reside in another state, we can arrange a Zoom session to provide a preliminary evaluation. This personalized approach ensures that you receive the most suitable and effective treatment for your scar coverage needs.
